Cross Lake
Taking the kids to Cross Lake. Not sure if there is even any open water?
No open water yet :( However was still a fun afternoon, small campfire and lakeside lunch. Gotta love the classic hotdog on a stick. 2-5 feet of open water all the way around the lake. Wont be long now and fishing will be underway.
I did notice something I have never seen before? thousands of mayfly nymphs all the way around the lake in 1-3 feet over water. The lake bottom looked like it was alive there were so many? And they were all swimming clockwise around the lake? It waslike there was a massive mayfly migration under way. every one of them was in non stop motion swimming in 1 direction?
